I have got 29 years of experience of teaching German as a foreign language and I offer privat lessons.
My experience ranges from:
- children and teenagers from 7 to 18
- young adults and adults
- seniors (courses at Vantaan aikuisopisto and Arbis)
The types of institutions where I have taught:
adult education institutions (Wirtschaftsförderungsinstitut in Austria; Vantaan aikuisopisto and Arbis in Helsinki, Goethe-Institut), universitites of applied sciences (Haaga-Helia UAS, the last 18 years) and universities (Technical University of Tallinn, Aalto University)
Groups I have taught:
journalists, company executives, students, private customers, ministers…
My students have been from around the world, from the US to Kasachstan.
I have helped Finnish persons to train for their exam to get the Swiss nationality.
The most common course I have taught is German for beginners. I explain German grammar in English or Finnish, as you like. If needed, only in German. Puhun myös suomea.
Types of courses I have given:
grammar courses, conversation courses, „Learn German with German wines“, excursions to Berlin, „Parlieren und Spazieren“ (walk and talk, during Covid) and „normal“ German courses levels A1-B2
During Covid, I have done a training to teach online (in Finnish: digi-peda) and even before Covid, I have already taught online lessons. I also teach how to use AI as your private teacher (no, I won’t be out of work soon, but you will love it to be able to get more souveranity in your language learning).
